Our latest endeavor is code named Zeus, because who doesn’t love a great code name for a project. Also, we don’t have an actual title yet. Zeus is heavily inspired by the old Quest for Glory series by Sierra that started back in 1998. For those unfamiliar, it’s a point-and-click adventure style puzzle game (like King’s Quest), but with some RPG elements and combat mixed in.
The game will be set in a fantasy world, and the player will get to choose one of three classes to play as: Warrior, Rogue or Mage. Your choice of class will play a factor in many of the game’s puzzles, with each class having different way to accomplish tasks.
The game is being made in Unreal Engine 4. One interesting thing to note, is that while all of the design and code is being done by us, due to a lack of any artistic skill on our part, we’re purchasing all of our in game assets from the Unreal Marketplace. There’s some amazing assets in their, and we’re looking forward to showcasing them.
